Founder, CEO, and Coach of MVM Basketball Academy.Michael Morgan is dedicated to empowering young athletes and fostering a passion for basketball, academics, and nutrition. With over three (3) decades of experience as a player and Youth coach, he has a deep understanding of the game, a passion and its transformative power!

Being raised in Manchester, Jamaica. he knows firsthand the limited access of basketball opportunities existing in his home country. However, he was fortunate to earn a full Track & Field scholarship to Holmwood Technical High School and after graduating, he moved to the Cayman Islands where he immersed himself into living and breathing basketball. Within a year, he earned a full scholarship to Georgia Military College and later Morehouse College, each within the Greater Atlanta area. Remaining driven, Michael had several professional opportunities with the Atlanta Hawks and the New York Knicks. He continued to follow his passion and played professionally in Sweden, Puerto Rico, England and in the United States Basketball League (USBL).

While playing Michael suffered a severe eye injury, immediately halting his playing career. After months of recovery, he remained dedicated and focused on coaching youth basketball talent, in the Cayman Islands, and in the US. However, he recognized the need for the same program in Jamaica. Michael eager to return home and develop a strong program within his community, beginning in Manchester.
